Fall has officially settled in, which means that there are countless fun activities for you and your family to get out and enjoy. Here at Child’s World Academy, we do our best to incorporate fall-friendly activities that help children to learn about colors, seasons, and the like, into our curriculum. While they will certainly get a sense of the season while at daycare, there are plenty of activities that you can take advantage of outside of the classroom as well. In today’s blog, we are going to go over a few of the fun fall activities that you can enjoy with your preschooler and family.

Pumpkin Patch

One of the most popular activities to take advantage of during the fall are the pumpkin patches. Most pumpkin patches will have a large selection of pumpkins for you to walk through until you find the perfect one for your family to carve or decorate. Aside from that, there are plenty of other activities that most pumpkin patches will offer, which makes it a fantastic fall-filled day. From corn kernel boxes to play in to potato sack slides to go down, there are countless activities that your child can enjoy when you decide to visit a pumpkin patch.

Apple Orchards

Another fall activity that screams fall is visiting an apple orchard. Healthy eating is something that we promote here at Child’s World Academy, and we fully believe that introducing children to healthy food options can set them up for a lifetime of success. By visiting an apple orchard, your child gets to experience where the tasty apple comes from and how it grows. It’s a pretty phenomenal experience for children who may not have been exposed to gardening or haven’t fully grasped the concept of food growing on trees. Aside from that, it’s pretty cool that they get the chance to pick apples off a tree and snack on them later in the day or help you bake them into a pie.

Tree Colors

Fall is known for being a gorgeous season because of the many colors that the transitioning trees have to offer, which is exactly why you want to make time to see the gorgeous colors. Whether you take a walk through the park or you drive up to a gorgeous area with tons of trees one weekend, your little one will be amazed as they see the beautiful leaves in colors that are far from common! This is an experience that they’ll remember for the rest of their life and always relate back to fall as a child.
