Sick of hearing that your kids are bored this winter?

If so, you’re not alone. Many parents struggle to keep their kids entertained when the weather is too cold to go outside and play. However, entertaining your kids doesn’t have to involve sitting them in front of the television or handing them a tablet. There are plenty of ways to keep your kids busy during the winter, and in our last blog, our day care in Peekskill went over a few of those ways. Keep reading to learn more tips from our child care experts to keep your kids busy this winter:

#4. Take a yoga class together.

Yoga can seem like it’s very much an adult activity, but it can actually be a truly wonderful thing for kids as well. Taking a yoga class with your kids will help you to bond, plus it helps them get exercise and teaches them how to relax.

#5. Do crafts with your kids.

Crafts are a great way to bring out your child’s creativity and imagination while at the same time keeping them busy and out of trouble. Crafts are also great for bonding with your kids and teaching them how to work slowly, follow directions and be patient.

#6. Read a book with your child.

No matter what the weather is like, a good book can encourage your child’s imagination to travel to far away places where adventure is always the name of the game. Reading to your child is a great way to bond with them, plus it will help to foster a love for books, which can help their educational career later on in life.
